Terms of service

Version 1.0 · Effective 4 July 2026

What this is

Boardgame Tracker is a free, non-commercial hobby service for tracking boardgame collections, game nights, and plays, operated by a private individual based in the Netherlands. Contact: boardgametracker-47c0d@googlegroups.com. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.

Age

You must be 16 or older to create an account. The service is not directed at children.

Your account

  • Keep your sign-in credentials to yourself.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account — the sessions you host, the plays you record, and the names you add.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service or other users (see below). You can delete your own account at any time in Settings.

Your content

  • What you add — your library, collections, sessions, plays, notes, names — stays yours. You give us permission to store it and show it to the people it is shared with (the participants of your sessions).
  • Only add other people (guests, one-off player names) you actually know from playing together, and don’t put personal details about others in free-text fields like notes or locations.
  • Game metadata (titles, images, statistics) comes from BoardGameGeek and belongs to its respective owners.

Acceptable use

Don’t harass other users, don’t upload illegal content (including in avatars, names, or notes), don’t try to access other people’s data, and don’t script, scrape, or overload the service. That’s the whole list — it’s a boardgame tracker.

Reporting content

If you believe content on the service is illegal or violates these terms, email boardgametracker-47c0d@googlegroups.com with a link or description. We review reports promptly and remove illegal content when confirmed.

Availability and liability

The service is provided as-is, free of charge, with no uptime or data-retention guarantees — download your data (Settings → Your data) if you want a copy. We may change or discontinue the service; if we ever discontinue it, we will make reasonable efforts to announce it in advance so you can export your data. To the extent permitted by mandatory law, we accept no liability for damages arising from the use of this free service.

Privacy

How we handle your data is described in the privacy policy.

Changes and governing law

If these terms change materially, the version above changes and we announce it in the app. These terms are governed by Dutch law.
